On Saturday, April 17, 2010, the Tama Toledo Lions Club will bring Dad's Belgian Waffles to the Reining Center in Toledo for their Annual Spring Waffle Breakfast. Waffles will be served from 8 until 11:30 a.m. All proceeds raised from the pre-sales of thetickets this year will also benefit the Weiting Theater Restoration. Working with the community, the Lions are hoping to help the Weiting Theater Guild raise the nessecary funds to have the building restored for its 100th Anniversary.Having already pledged $1000, the Tama Toledo Lions continue to provide for the community as well as many state and international causes within the organization. The Lions Club, an international organization of 40 local members provides hearing aides and eyeglasses for underprivileged community members. In the past 5 years, the Lions Club was responsible for helping over 50 community hear and see better. The Lions also do eye screenings for local students as well as other community projects such as maintaining two shelters in local parks as well as up keep of the Toledo shelter house.
