Free Early Childhood Screenings

April 14, 2010
Dysart Reporter

Area Education Agency 267 and the Lions Clubs of Iowa will hold free Early Childhood Hearing and Vision Screenings. AEA 267 personnel will screen hearing for children ages three through five years. The Iowa Lions Club will screen vision for children ages six months through four years.

The screenings will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, April 14 and 15, 2010 at the Raggedy Ann and Andy Preschool, 418 Main Street, Dysart. Each child's parent or guardian must complete and sign a hearing and vision permission form prior to the screening. Information about these forms will be provided when you call for an appointment.

If your child does not attend the preschool and has not yet entered kindergarten or has not had their hearing and vision screened earlier this school year, you may schedule an appointment by calling Lions Club member, Chester Wordan at 319-476-2793. Early identification ensures a more positive school experience. As a parent or guardian, you are the best teacher of your child. Help plan for your child's education and future by attending this free hearing and vision screening.
