Knights back on track with 22-12 win

October 20, 2017
Dysart Reporter

Union took the win over North Fayette Valley 22-12 Friday night to bring the overall record to 6-2 (5-1 2A district 4). They played on a rain-soaked field and both teams battled for field position all night long as Union took at 13-0 lead into halftime. NFV would fight back in the 3rd quarter after Union made a field goal to move up 16-0, then NFV scored back-to-back making the score 16-12. Union's Brit Rolison had a big interception that allowed Union to score again but the PAT was muffed. Union has a showdown this Friday on the road vs. top ranked Cascade who are 8-0.

Congratulations to Union's senior QB Troy Hanus, as he had 158 yds passing to bring his regular season total to 1,594 yards, breaking the record set by Steven McGarvey in 2009 of 1,516 yards. Troy has one more regular season game to go. GO KNIGHTS!
