After the arrival of their first two children, they began to search for their dream Victorian home which they found in Traer in 1977.

Diana settled into life in Traer as a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church Women of Life, sewing quilts as long as her health allowed. When the family would take vacations, Diana would plan the trip down to the finest detail! She was a Girl Scout Leader and loved to camp! Diana worked in retail sales at Sears for many years. She will be remembered by her family as a very strong person who never quit with a wonderful sense of humor.
