D-G Elementary school supply list

All grades except kindergarten will need standard 3.5 mm stereo headphones (the size used in a standard portable radio, Ipod, or comuter - these can be purchased for $1 at many dollar stores.)

Kindergarten: Towel for resting (no plastic mats please); 1 coloring book; 2 bottles Elmer's glue; 4 glue sticks; 3 24-packs of Crayola crayons; a good square eraser; 1 pair of Fiskars metal scissors with rounded points; one 4 or 8 pack Expo dry erase markers - chisel tip (can be colored or black) for student use; 6 No. 2 pencils; Mead primary journal 9K-2; 1 box of washable markers and 1 pkg. of 3 x 5 lined note cards. The following items are optional but would be appreciated: one box of Kleenex, one box of quart size zip-lock storage bags, one gallon zip-lock storage bags, a container of Clorox wipes.

First grade: 16 No. 2 sharpened pencils; a good square eraser; plastic 5 x 8 pencil box; 3 24-packs of crayons; scissors; 1 Elmer's white glue; 8 glue sticks; 4 inexpensive folders - 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 green, 1 blue; one 4 or 8 pack Expo dry erase markers - chisel tip (red, blue, green and black) for student use. The following items are optional but would be appreciated: one box of Kleenex, one box of quart size zip-lock storage bags, one box of gallon size zip-lock storage bags, and a container of Clorox wipes. Please put student's name on each item.

Second grade: 16 No. 2 sharpened pencils; 24 pack of crayons; 12" metric and inches ruler; 8 Elmer's glue sticks; 1 Elmer's white glue; scissors; 3 folders; 1 highlighter; one 4 or 8 pack Expo dry erase markers - chisel tip (can be colored or black). The following items are optional but would be appreciated: 2 boxes of Kleenex, 1 box of quart size zip-lock storage bags, a container of Clorox wipes. Please put student's name of each item.

Third grade: 1 glue stick; 1 Elmer's white glue; 8 No. 2 pencils; erasers, pointed-end scissors; crayons; colored pencils; ruler with inches and centimeters; 2 wide-lined spiral notebooks; 3 folders; a case or holder for carrying pencils; 2 colored checking pens for student correcting; 1 highlighter. The following items are optional but would be appreciated: 1 dry erase marker, 2 boxes of Kleenex, 1 box of snack size zip-lock storage bags, 2 containers of Clorox wipes.

Fourth and fifth grades: 3-ring enclosed binder (zipper of Velcro with pencil pouch); 2 packs of 3 x 5 index cards; 5 spiral wide-lined notebooks (3 of them should fit into the binder); crayons and pre-sharpened colored pencils; 4 pack fine-point black Expo white board markers for student use; scissors; 48 No. 2 pencils (no mechnical pencils); plastic pencil box; 8 inexpensive red pens for student correcting; 2 erasers; 1 bottle of white glue; 4 plain yellow plastic folders; 1 plain red folder; 1 plain green folder and 1 folder of your choice; 1 Compostion notebook. The following items are optional but would be appreciated: 1 box of Kleenex and 1 container of Clorox wipes. Please initial all items with permanent marker.

Please mark all clothing with your child's name, including coats, sweaters, caps, snow pants, boots, etc.
