Emma Rose Kubik was born April 13, 1922 in Necedah, Wisconsin; the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Bouska) Seda. Her family moved to the south Traer where she married her sweetheart, Milo Robert Kubik. They farmed three miles north of Traer before retiring and moving to town in 1982. Emma and Milo were married 48 years until he passed away at the age of 81. Quilting and fine needle work, especially beautiful embroidery brought much joy to her life. Emma had a passion for flowers and gardening. She was especially famous for her pies and was queen of the kolache. Emma was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, especially adoring her grandchildren. We will treasure the precious years we had with her, but also rejoice that she is with Jesus and her loved ones gone before her.
Emma was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 7:45 am at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo after a stroke on Monday. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose Seda, four brothers: Ed, Frank, Fred, Joe, and two sisters: Rose and Bessie.
