The Dysart Cemetery Association would like the community to know about the 162 trees that have been planted this year. Only seven tall pines were left after the storm two years ago. 91 Trechny Arborvitae have been planted this fall, along the west side. It is hoped that they will be a windbreak to stop some of the snow that blows through the cemetery. Prairie Fire crab apple trees are on both the north and south sides, with evergreens mixed in. A variety of evergreens line two driveways in the middle of the cemetery. 52 individuals and families have made this possible, and the association would like to thank them for their generosity. Donations are still being accepted to finish paying for the latest planting. Checks can be made to the Dysart Cemetery Tree Fund and sent to Marvin Taylor, 1436 Hwy. V37, Dysart IA 52224.
