Dennis Gayle Wieben, 78, of Dysart, died on Saturday, October 5th at the Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer, Iowa.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 11, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. and from 3 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday, October 11. Service will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church.
He was born on May 5, 1935, in Waterloo, Iowa, and was the son of Linn and Bernice Wieben. He married Helen May Brandt on February 19, 1955, at the Geneseo United Methodist Church.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Helen; daughter, Michelle (Steve) Bruce of Vinton and sons Michael (Wendy) and Mitchell (Barbara) of Clutier; seven grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Three brothers-in-law; Dale (Barbara) Brandt of West Bend, WI, and Jack (Joy) Brandt of Golden, CO, and Russell Werning of Newhall, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Linn and Bernice Wieben; Helen's parents, Arnold and Irene Brandt; a sister-in-law, Alice Werning; and a niece, Diane Hutchins.
Services: Visitation will be on Friday, October 11th from 4 pm until 7 pm. There will also be visitation for 90 minutes before the service at the Zion Lutheran Church in Dysart. Service will be held on Saturday, October 12th at 4:30 pm at the church with a meal following the service. A family burial will be held at a later date.
Dennis requests no flowers and memorials be directed to the Zion Lutheran Church and Cedar Valley Hospice.
