Aug. 24, 1933

The engagement and approaching marriage of Miss Margaret Clark and Glen Heckroth was announced at a party given by the bride-elect.

At five o'clock Wednesday afternoon, August 23, Miss Annie Myler was married to Earl Selk at the home of the bride's parents.

Aug. 26, 1943

Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Tupper who have been residing in Dysart for 30 years, will quietly observe their 50th wedding anniversary Monday, August 30.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert McElhinney are parents of a baby boy who has been named Patrick.

Aug. 28, 1953

Mr. and Mrs. Raye Keidel are parents of a baby boy born at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo on Sunday.

Aug. 22, 1963

Sara Ann Higgins of Traer became the bride of Larry Mitchell on Thursday, August 15, in the Geneseo Methodist Church.

One hundred relatives and guests attended the potluck dinner and open house Sunday at the American Legion Hall for Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Whitmore who were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary.

Aug. 30, 1973

Mr. and Mrs. Otis Hayward of Dysart announce the engagement of their daughter, Sandra Ann, to Dr. Bradford L. Hill of San Francisco. The couple plans an October wedding.

Aug. 25, 1983

Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Waterloo was the setting for the Saturday, August 20, wedding of Kathleen Irvine and Donald Rasmusson.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hoeppner of Dysart will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, September 4, with an open house at the Dysart United Methodist Church.

Aug. 26, 1993

Julie Brandt and Eric Doyle, both of Ankeny, are proud to announce their engagement and approaching marriage. A September 18, wedding is planned in Ankeny.

The National Bank Softball Team took the Dysart Women's Softball League tournament title for the second year in a row following this year's single elimination tourney held last Friday evening, August 20.

Aug. 28, 2003

The Dysart Fire Department will celebrate their 125th anniversary on September 7, with an open house at the fire station. The dedication of the new flag pole will take place at 3 p.m.

Pauline Hoeppner of Traer and formerly of Dysart will celebrate her 90th birthday with family members on August 31, in Des Moines.
