Overflow crowd for "Sunday at the Museum"

August 2, 2013
Dysart Reporter

On July 28, the Dysart Historical Society held the July "Sunday at the Museum" program with over 65 visitors in attendance at the Agricultural Museum. Special guest was Arlene Siemens Oster who now resides in Lowden. Arlene was accompanied by her son Gary and other immediate family members. Arlene, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday, presented a very interesting program on her memories of growing up in the Dysart Community and operating the Oster Meat Market business with her husband. The program was video taped and will be available for viewing in the future.

Following the program and refreshments, Arlene and her family had the opportunity to visit her childhood farm and home which is now home to Ernest and Ann Anniss.

The next "Sunday at the Museum" will have features especially for children. Please watch the Reporter and Channel 1 for information.
