Dysart-Geneseo Elementary School Supply List for 2013-2014

All grades except kindergarten will need standard 3.5 mm stereo headphones (the size used in a standard portable radio, IPod or computer - these can be purchased for $1 at many dollar stores.)

Kindergarten: A towel for resting (no plastic mats please); one coloring book; two bottles of Elmer's glue; four glue sticks; two 24-pack of Crayola crayons; a good square eraser; one pair of Fiskars metal scissors with rounded points; one 4 or 8 pack Expo dry erase markers-chisel tip (can be colored or black) for student use; six No. 2 pencils; two spiral notebooks (wide-lined); one box of washable markers; and one sturdy (2 pocket) folder for a daily take-home folder. The following items are optional but would be appreciated: one box of Kleenex; one box of quart-size and one box of gallon-size zip-lock storage bags; and a container of Clorox wipes.

First grade: 10 sharpened No. 2 pencils; a good square eraser; plastic 5" x 8" pencil box; three 24-pack of crayons; scissors; one Elmer's white glue; eight glue sticks; four inexpensive folders - one red, one yellow, one green and one blue; one 4 or 8 pack Expo dry erase markers-chisel tip (red, blue, green and black) for student use. The following items are optional but would be appreciated: one box of Kleenex; one box of quart-size and one box of gallon-size zip-lock storage bags; and one container of Clorox wipes. Please put student's name on each item.

Second grade: 10 sharpened No. 2 pencils; crayons; 12" metric and inches ruler; glue stick; one Elmer's white glue; scissors; three folders; one highlighter. The following items are optional but would be appreciated: two boxes of Kleenex; two containers of Clorox wipes. Please no ever-sharps, no pens, no trapper keeprs or large notebooks. Please put student's name on each item.

Third grade: One glue stick; one Elmer's white glue; eight No. 2 pencils; erasers; pointed-end scissors; crayons; colored pencils; ruler with inches and centimeters; two wide-lined spiral notebooks; three folders; a case or holder for carry pencils; two colored checking pens for student-correcting; one highlighter. The following items are optional but would be appreciated: one dry-erase marker; two boxes of Kleenex; one box of zip-lock storage bags (any size); and two containers of Clorox wipes.

Fourth and Fifth grade: 3-ring enclosed binder (zipper or Velcro with pencil pouch); two packs of 3 x 5 index cards; six spiral wide-lined notebooks (no wireless please) three of them should fit into the binder; crayons; pre-sharpened colored pencils; four pack Expo white board markers (black, blue, red and green) for student use; scissors; 48 No. 2 yellow pencils (no mechanical pencils); plastic pencil box; eight inexpensive red pens for student-correcting; two erasers; hinged plastic index card box that will hold 3 x 5 100+ cards (5th grade can reuse their boxes from last year); one bottle white glue; four plain yellow folders; one plain red folder; one plain green folder; one plain blue folder; and one folder of your choice. Fifth grade needs one composition notebook. The following items are optional but would be appreciated: one box of Kleenex; and one container of Clorox wipes. Please initial all items with a permanent marker.
