The Norma Anders Public Library will be celebrating 10 years at their new location on Main Street on July 13.
Children in the 5th grade and under are invited to help in the celebration on July 13 from 10 a.m. to noon at the library. Parents and/or grandparents are encouraged to stay with their small children.
There will be games, stories, and treats for all.
The new building was opened with a Cornerstone Laying and Dedication on Saturday, July 19, 2003, by the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Iowa. There was a procession from city hall to the new library made up of masons from across Iowa, library trustees, city council and the speaker.
The new building was made possible by gifts from the Norma Anders estate, Shoot for the Stars, grants, and numerous Dysart citizens and former citizens.
