Trunck retires after 39 years at telephone co.

July 5, 2013
Kelli Kleppe - Reporter , Dysart Reporter

Terry Trunck served for 39 years on the Farmers Co-op Telephone Company board. This year he has decided to retire. As many of you may know, Terry also founded Terry's Food Center here in Dysart. He owned and operated this for approximately 30 years, and recently sold it to his son Darren three years ago.

Although Terry may be retired from both the grocery store and co-op, he keeps plenty busy. Whether he is spending time with his children, who are all still mostly local, or working odd side jobs around town, Terry is hardly ever home. Terry and his wife Janet, are both local natives of Dysart, and love the area.

Terry stated that one of his main highlights of being on the board was working with all of the wonderful employees and managers at the co-op. There have been so many changes over the years with telephones that it has been quite the ride. He has enjoyed seeing all the progression and improvements in the technology over the years. He said it was an absolute pleasure to be on the Board, and he will miss his time with them.
