June 22, 1933

Mrs. Hattie Winter of Dysart had the pleasure of passing her 86th birthday on Tuesday, June 20.

Mrs. Margaretha Jabens, who resides in the homes of her sons, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jabens in Dysart, and Mr. and Mrs. Will Jabens east of town, had the distinction of celebrating her 90th birthday anniversary Friday, June 16.

June 17, 1943

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Feller have received announcement of the marriage of their granddaughter, Betty Jean Smith, to Ensign William C. Brown. The bride was born in the Dysart community and lived here when she was a child.

June 26, 1953

Miss Mardene Fisher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fisher of Garrison, and Robert Dean Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Wilson of Dysart, were married Sunday, June 22, at the Evangelical United Brethren Church.

June 20, 1963

The Dysart softball team came through with a 14-6 victory over Vinton last week as Larry Santman and Rick Burger hit triples for the winners. Ken Paulsen gave up only seven hits.

June 21, 1973

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nass of Clarksville are the parents of their first child and son born June 19, in Waverly. He has been named Carl Ernest.

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hubler have purchased lots from Farmer's Lumber Co. located on Fairlane Street in Dysart and have started construction of a new home. Mr. Hubler is the new principal of the D-G School.

June 23, 1983

A break-in at the vacant residence at 1206 Leer Street was reported to the Dysart Police Department Sunday, June 19, at 6:30 p.m.

Douglas Raymond of Des Moines has been appointed by the Quality House Care Specialists Corporation in Fort Dodge as the new administrator for the Sunnycrest Nursing Center.

June 24, 1993

Announcement is being made of the May 29, wedding of Melissa Cochran and Scott Wandschneider. Vows were exchanged at Sacred Heart Church in Oelwein.

Craig and Andrea Krafka of Dysart are the parents of their first child, a daughter, born Friday, June 18, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. She has been named Amy Jo.

June 26, 2003

Jennifer Himschoot and Jay Dvorak, both of Clutier, were united in marriage at St. Paul Catholic Church in Traer on Saturday, November 30, 2002.

Jennifer and Adam Carroll would like to announce the birth of their first child, a daughter, Piper Elise, born May 16, in Des Moines.
