Tree Board looks into trimming

June 14, 2013
Dysart Reporter

The Dysart Tree Board has received messages from a few residents concerning nuisance low-hanging branches. Dysart property owners are being reminded that tree branches are to be at least eight feet over sidewalks and 15 feet over the street. Residents are asked to please check their street trees to see if they meet those provisions of the Dysart Tree Ordinance.

If anyone needs to have the name of someone who does tree trimming, please call the office of the city clerk for information. If any residents need help with measuring the height of tree limbs, please call a Tree Board member for assistance.

The Tree Board will begin an inventory of trees needing trimming in the next few weeks and will be sending out reminder letters to property owners who have not yet trimmed up their trees.
