Sunnycrest Nursing Home was among the thousands of residential care facilities across the nation that celebrated National Nursing Home Week May 12-18. On Monday, the nursing home welcomed members of the community and county leaders for a meal and celebration.

Dysart mayor Pamela Thiele and coordinator of the Tama County Economic Development Corporation Heath Kellogg were among the guests. Mayor Thiele gave a short address on the city's progress over the past year, including the paving projects and updates to the Community Building that should be coming this year.

Thiele also discussed the recent informational meeting with KCRG, which will be featuring Dysart as part of the Our Town series in July. The station will be broadcasting live from Old Iron Days.
