Sophomore Brady Driscol's 32 points in the first two rounds of the Class 3A regional playoffs helped Union stay competitive, but he couldn't do it alone. The Knights fell to a tough Vinton-Shellsburg squad in the second round with a 56-45 loss ending their season.

Driscol, who came into the game averaging just under ten points per game, dominated the game from the offensive end, but was unable to carry the team despite scoring 17 points and grabbing four rebounds. He upped his scoring average to 11.8 PPG.

Junior Bo Bader scored seven points and led the team with ten rebounds.

Leading scorer Jay Scheel was held to just eight points in the contest.

The game followed a tough 50-46 win over Benton in which the Knights had to overcome a 16-7 first quarter.

Bader led the team in that game with 16 points, with Driscol adding 15. Tanner Heckt grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds in the victory.

The Knights finished the year with an 8-15 record.
