Dysart Cookbook needs local recipes

March 1, 2013
Alissa Klenk - Reporter , Dysart Reporter

Every cook loves a cookbook filled with tried and true recipes. Having a cookbook filled with recipes from members from your community gives it an extra special touch. That's why a committee of Dysart residents, including Wanda Petersen, Kori Hatch, and Robin Werner, is collecting recipes from anyone with connections to Dysart; whether local, rural, in memory of, or prior residents.

The recipes will be compiled into the Dysart, Iowa Friends and Family Cookbook, which is scheduled to be available for sale during Dysart's Spring Chocolate Walk on March 23rd. Proceeds will be donated to the Dysart Development Corporation, which is dedicated to improving the Dysart community.

The Dysart, Iowa Friends and Family Cookbook committee needs your help. Additional recipes are needed before publishing the cookbook. For your convenience, there are multiple ways to provide your recipes. You may email up to five recipes to, drop off your recipes at Sassy's Boutique at 321 Main Street, or mail your recipes to Robin Werner at 1001 Sherman Street. More information can be found on the Dysart, Iowa Friends and Family Cookbook Facebook page.

Help make the Dysart, Iowa Friends and Family Cookbook a success by sending your recipes today; the deadline is March 8.
