The Union boys have had a rough go of it the past few weeks, dropping three straight games heading into a Tuesday night matchup with #4 ranked North Tama of Class 1A.

The boys fell to Jesup 45-50 on the road last Tuesday before a 38-52 drubbing at the hands of Denver on Friday.

Similarly, the boys fell 38-52 against an overpowering Waverly-Shell Rock squad, which dropped 19 points on the Knights in the fourth quarter to close out the game.

Brady Driscol had a team-high 10 points and three steals for Union, and junior Bo Bader had 7 points.

Driscol and Bader are averaging 11.7 and 6.9 points per game on the season, respectively, and have been a solid 2-3 complement to leading scorer Jay Scheel.

Driscol and Bader are also tops on the team in three-pointers made and three-point field goal percentage. Driscol is connecting at a 35.8 percent rate from beyond the arc, and Bader has made 34.3 percent of his threes.

Bader is averaging 3.8 rebounds per game and Driscol is second on the team with 40 steals on the season.

The Knights had a home contest against North Tama, one of the top teams in the state in Class 1A, on Tuesday night and wrap up the regular season this coming Tuesday, February 12, at rival Center Point-Urbana.
