The judges reported that it was a really tough job to only pick three winners for the 2012 Dysart Lions Christmas Lighting Contest. There were eight homes with Christmas lighting worthy of being ranked number one, but alas, three winners were chosen.
Robert and Claudette Gumbert received first place for their attractive colored lights over the entire house, garage and lighting in the yard. A focal point of the display was a Charlie Brown Christmas display on the front steps. They received $50 in Dysart Dollars.
Tim and Cara Glenn received second place for their Christmas lighting around the house, fence, trees, and a unique decorated tree top on their balcony. They received $30 in Dysart Dollars.
Robert and Claudette Gumbert received first place for their Christmas lighting.The Gumbert’s home featured a Charlie Brown Christmas display on their front steps.
Al and Ruth Schafbuch received third place for their colored icicle lights and the colorful displays on the porch and around the yard. They received $20 in Dysart Dollars.
The judges commented on the lighted red trees that lined Wilson Street. They remarked on the many beautifully decorated homes in Dysart and the business district. The judges were impressed with the decorated store fronts which made for a very attractive Main Street.
