Knight wrestlers have tough outing against Bosco

The Union wrestling team lost a hard-fought match against Don Bosco in their final outing before Christmas break on December 18.

Max Thomsen defeated Dylan Rhoads 10-4 at the 132-pound slot, and Austin Dengler outdid Chris Paulsen 10-5 at 138 pounds.

Josh Clark, wrestling in the 285-pound class, won by forfeit over Alex Bagby. Cole Reiter won his match 11-5 at 170 pounds, and Logan Thomsen and Jacob Holschlag, wrestling at 145 and 152 pounds, respectively, won their matches by forfeit.

Trevor McLaughlin fell 3-13 to Nathan Schmitz at 126 pounds, and Joey Damro suffered a 3-12 loss at the hands of Jake Hogan at 160 pounds. Alex Krall lost his match at 195 pounds by a score of 6-17.

Jon Hellman, Ted Tecklenburg, Tanner Hilton and Jace Hadchek all lost by forfeit in their matches at 106, 120, 182 and 220 pounds, respectively.

The boys will be back in action for the first time in over two weeks this Saturday in a tournament at Benton at 8 a.m.
