New Dysart website to launch December 1

November 30, 2012
Alissa Klenk - Reporter , Dysart Reporter

Dysart will soon have a new place to call home on the World Wide Web. The Dysart Development Corporation has contracted with THIRDPIG Consulting to launch a new website that will be more up to date and user friendly.

"It desperately needed to be updated. We want to engage the outside crowd as well as the inside. We want it to be a useful tool for those that live in the community but also to bring more outsiders. We want to push the idea of Dysart as home," said Molly Weber, the graphic designer for THIRDPIG Consulting, which is a newly launched business out of Dysart.

Currently, there is a form up on DysartIowa.com asking for feedback. The developers are trying to get a feel for what the community would like to see on the website. THIRDPIG Consulting is seeking photos that show Dysart in action. Do you have photos of an event in town? Feel free let them know in the comments form on the website.

"It's going to be a great tool because it will keep everyone up to date as far as what's going on in the community. One thing we'll be offering is to be able to purchase event tickets and that sort of thing on the website. If you're a D.D.C. member, you'll be able to go on the website, fill out your form and pay your dues that way. There's more of an e-commerce side to it than what's currently out there now," said Weber.

Local businesses will also be presented with the opportunity for THIRDPIG to design business sub domains that will link off of the Dysart website. Weber says that the package deals will be affordable and that they hope to attract many local businesses in an effort to make more Dysart business information available online for the consumer.

THIRDPIG Consulting was launched in May 2012 by a group of friends with expertise in diverse areas. In addition to Molly Weber, her husband Patrick Weber is the "Bosshog", or president of marketing, with qualifications in sales, marketing, and accounting. There is also a technical writer and web developer on board, all with bachelor's degrees and experience in their related fields.

Molly and Patrick Weber are the Dysart contacts for THIRDPIG Consulting. All of the consulting is done on location at Molly Weber Creative on Main Street. They offer services in brand management, business consulting and website development.

"Anything you can think of under the sun, we can help you out," said Weber. The business promises to provide clients with various infrastructure and marketing services customized to meet any budget.

The Dysart website is tentatively scheduled to launch on December 1, the same day as the Mingle and Jingle event in Dysart.
