About 40 friends and neighbors gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bauer Saturday night and gave the lady of the house a pleasant surprise in honor of her birthday anniversary.
Mrs. Wm. Struve passed away at her home in Stewartville, Minn., at the age of 40 years and nine months following an illness of three years.

The Zion Lutheran Church in Dysart has a new minister coming. The Rev. Jerome Riggert expects to arrive here about January 1. The family is now living in Port Clinton, Ohio.
The Tama-Benton Co-op Co., in Dysart will hold a grand opening of its new feed mill this Saturday. Leo Greco and his Pioneers will entertain.

The Dysart Centennial in 1973 will be advertising around the world starting this Saturday. Every piece of mail going out of the Dysart Post Office for the next six months will have the special cancellation.

Mary Hach Henke, a resident of Sunnycrest Nursing Center, will be 100 years old on December 9, 1992. She is a lifelong resident of Tama County.
Lon and Terrill Karr of rural Traer are the parents of a son, their third child, born on Tuesday, December 1. He has been named Marshall Lee.
