Wolf Creek Players preparing for big show next week

The Tree of Lights project is the Community Improvement Project of the Dysart Women's Club.

The following have given to the Tree of Lights: Marcella Milne, Kendall and Marcia Taylor in memory of Howard and Fern Taylor, Maxine McKenna in memory of Harold McKenna, Karen Symonds in memory of Jim Symonds, Fine Arts Women's Club, Rich and Jannie Wauters, and Doris Knupp.

The money collected will be split between the Historical Society and air conditioning for the Community Building. Donations can be sent up through December 1 to Reta Callahan at 6342 11th Avenue, Dysart, IA 52224. The donations can also be brought to Christmas on Main, December 1 at the Community Building.

This will be the first production with singing. Above, members of the Wolf Creek Players rehearse Christmas songs. Performances are November 29 to December 1 at 7 p.m., and a special matinee showing on December 2 at 2 p.m.

Christmas on Main activities: All are invited to attend a morning of activities starting at 9 a.m. with the Union High School Carolers. In addition, the Union High School Dance Team will perform, the Wolf Creek Players will be performing a snippet of their current performance "a 1940's Radio Christmas Carol," and a group of elementary students will also be performing.

At around 10:15, the top donor to the Tree of Lights will be announced and the Christmas tree by the Community Building will be lit.

Children, don't miss Santa arriving to hear your Christmas wishes between 10:15 and 10:30 a.m. Cookies and a drink will be served during the morning.
