Tom Pease, an educational performer, visited Dysart-Geneseo Elementary School on November 5th. The Tama County Solid Waste Disposal Commission expanded their solid waste and recycling education program by sponsoring the assembly.

Pease quickly got the students and staff singing, dancing, and laughing as he taught songs about loving the earth. He incorporates sign language and humor into his performance and kept the audience engaged throughout the entire performance. One of Pease's goals is to help his audience feel a sense of community through song and laughter and he certainly accomplished that.

Pease has been performing full time since 1982 and does over 200 programs yearly. During the week of November 5-11, Pease visited six northeast Iowa schools and presented his program celebrating "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle" and promoting general stewardship to the earth.
