Tourism booming in our little town

October 18, 2012
Alissa Klenk - Reporter , Dysart Reporter

The first part of October proved to be a busy period for tourism in Dysart. The Blue H.A.T. Team was on hand to welcome each tour group to Dysart and provide information about the attractions in town.

The first group to visit Dysart in October was a group of almost 50 women from the Northwest Bank and Trust in Davenport, Iowa. They spent a few hours on October 2nd exploring the town. The group was on a mystery tour and did not know that they were visiting Dysart. The group enjoyed lunch at The SpecialTea Room followed by a style show and shopping.

On October 4th, 15 Red Hats from Edgewood, Iowa received tours of Rowan Metal, the Zion Lutheran Church windows, the rose garden, and Pat's potting shed. They enjoyed lunch at The Thirsty Bulldog.

On October 8th, a PEO group from Waterloo enjoyed a style show and lunch at The SpecialTea Room. Other small groups also visited Dysart throughout the first part of October.
