Residents enjoy Golf Car Cruise

September 20, 2012
Dysart Reporter

The "First Annual" Golf Car Cruise was held in Dysart on Thursday evening, September 13.

The owners of 24 golf cars and a large number of spectators enjoyed the event which was sponsored and planned by the H.A.T. Team and the D.D.C.

The golf cars went on a "cruise" around town, then lined up on Main Street for photos reminiscent of the photos taken of Model T Fords on Dysart's Main Street around 1920.

Several families participated in this year’s First Annual Golf Car Cruise in Dysart. There were a total of 24 golf carts cruising around town for the event. A drawing for prizes was held for the cruise participants. A gift certificate for golf car service from Young's Golf Cars was won by Matt and Mandy Brown. Winners of $20 each in Dysart Dollars, provided by the sponsors, were Roger Roseke, Enid Young, Ora Hennessy, Larry Luze and Brian Sparks.

The event was great fun and there was lots of enthusiasm for making the cruise an annual event.
