To the Editor,
Innocence is not lost.
On Monday, while working in the ambulance garage, I was approached by a very young boy on a bicycle. He said, "Hey Steve I have to tell you something. Somebody already died this morning." Asking him how he knew this he replied, "I just saw the car that takes people to heaven." I immediately realized he had seen the hearse leaving town. The profound innocence of the interpretation of what he had seen was very heart warming. I applaud his parents for the way they have explained life and death to him. No, innocence is not lost; it sometimes shows up at the best times.
