New city truck

July 26, 2012
Alissa Klenk - Reporter , Dysart Reporter

The City of Dysart purchased a new Ford F550 electric truck. The old truck was becoming outdated and unsafe. Each year, the truck must pass a dielectric test to ensure that the insulation properties are up to standard to ensure that the operator is safe. The fiberglass components on the extendable arm of the old truck were in bad shape and it was becoming harder to pass the test each year. The new truck has an extendable arm with a 42' working height, which replaces the 39' extendable arm on the old truck.
