Creatures of the night to visit Anders Library

July 12, 2012
Dysart Reporter

Blank Park Zoo will be at the Norma Anders Library on July 19 at 1 p.m. to present their Day Dreamers program. Samantha Dunn, the Blank Park Zoo Offsite Education Specialist, will be presenting the program about nocturnal animals and invites everyone to come out and meet the animals that are busy hunting, nesting and playing while humans are sleeping.

The program is intended for children and young adults but is open to the public, as it is not a story hour. The zoo staff will also make a stop at the Sunnycrest Nursing Center at 3 p.m.

Join a zoo educator to learn about the fun and exciting animals that roam while we are sleeping. During the day these animals are fast asleep, but as we dream, animals are very busy hunting, nesting and playing!

Children will get a chance to meet animals that are rarely seen in the daytime and learn about their busy nighttime lives.
