Travis and Amy Fisher took ownership of Van's Locker in August 2010 and have been planning an open house celebration ever since then. "We had some issues that made us procrastinate having our open house until this year," said Amy Fisher.
The Fishers have officially received licenses and permits and are finally ready to host the celebration, which will take place on June 16 from 11:30-2:00 p.m. at Van's Locker, 105 Sherman Street in Dysart. The Benton County Cattlemen Association will be out to grill some of Van's Locker's products including hamburgers, brats and pork patties.
The couple sells a variety of products at their location including 13 types of cheeses. They have many kinds of beef and pork products and do custom slaughtering. Van's Locker has also implemented a weekly special in hopes to draw in customers as they officially begin their business venture.
