Over 30 units of blood were donated on May 29 during the LifeServe blood drive held at the Dysart Community Building. Both established and new donors stopped by to donate blood.
Blood donations save lives. According to the LiveServe website (www.lifeservebloodcenter.org), nine out of ten people who live to age 70 will use donated blood during their lifetime and every two seconds, someone, somewhere needs blood. Area residents are dedicated to the cause.
"These guys here in Dysart always put on a fabulous blood drive. They really go to town at recruiting. Dysart is one of our better blood drives," said LifeServe Nurse Nancy Aldrion.

The next blood drive in Dysart will be held August 7 from 2-7 p.m. at the Dysart Community Building.
