David Scott Walker, 42, an assistant Tama County Attorney in the office of Brent Heeren, was killed Sunday afternoon, Aug. 28, on Interstate 80 in Iowa County according to the Iowa State Patrol.
Two Woodstock, Ill. residents in another vehicle were injured and taken to University Hospital in Iowa City. Ian Mulliner, 49, was transported by Air Care and Mary Relic, 47, was taken by ambulance.
The patrol report said Walker was westbound in a 1992 Mazda Miata when he crossed the median and struck the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Mulliner. Investigation is continuing.
Walker was named an assistant in the Tama County Attorney's Office Sept. 7, 2010.
Walker lived in Marshalltown and had previously served in the Marshall County Attorney's Office.
