Mamie D. Kucera, 95 of Traer died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer of natural causes. Services were held Tuesday, November 30 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clutier with a rosary recited on Monday. Burial was held at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in rural Clutier.
Mamie D. Kucera was born May 15, 1915 at home in rural Toledo, daughter of Joe W and Mary A. Kvidera Nachazel. She received her education at Carroll # 3 country school. On November 22, 1938 she was united in marriage to Frank J. Kucera at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in rural Clutier. Frank and Mamie made their home all their married life on the home farm. In free moments she enjoyed her family, grandchildren and visits from her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, crocheting, working in her flower garden and playing solitaire. After Frank's death on July 29, 1998 she continued to live on the farm until 2008 when she became a resident of the Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer. Mamie's death came at the care center on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at the age of 95 years. She was a member of the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and Rosary Society, Homemakers Club, Traer American Legion Auxillary and the KD Lodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, one great- grandson Joseph and a sister Millie Dostal. She is survived by 2 sons; John (Janet) Kucera and Mark (Kerry) Kucera both of rural Toledo, 2 daughters Mary Jane (Karl) Rinkleff of Fredericksburg, and Susan (Norman) Gorder of Conrad, Elsie Nechanicky Gates who was raised in Mamie's parents home from an early age, 11 grandchildren Chris (Danielle) Kucera, Tim (Teresa) Kucera, Erik (Mary Ann) Rinkleff, Heidi Rinkleff, Sara (Thomas) Frizelle, Maria (Michael) Zurn, Patrick Rinkleff, Todd (Molly) Kucera, J.D. (Kristin) Kucera, Matt (Micah) Gorder and Mark Gorder and 14 great-grandchildren.
