The City of Dysart will hold Spring Cleanup on Monday, May 3, and continue through Wednesday, May 5. Please have your items out to the curb by 7 a.m. For safety reasons, please remove the doors from any freezers or refrigerators that you put out. A $7 fee per item will be charged to pick up the following items: refrigerators, washers, dryers, air conditioning units, dishwashers, freezers, fluorescent lights, dehumidifiers, furnaces, microwaves, stoves, water heaters, and trash compactors. Each of the above items must have a sticker on it. Stickers may be purchased at City Hall. If items do not have a sticker, they will not be picked up. This $7 policy is in effect due to the Tama County Landfill charging the City of Dysart a $7 fee per item to dump. City crews will not pick up bricks, cement, stones, tree branches, tires, or lumber during Clean Up Days.
