Zola N. Catron, 84 of Dysart, formerly of Traer and Buckingham died Sunday, December 13 at her home in Dysart after an extended illness. Private services will be held at the Overton Funeral Home in Traer with burial at Buckingham Cemetery. Zola N. Catron was born July 10, 1925 in Belle Plaine, the daughter of Otto and Helen Phelps Holst. She received her education in Belle Plaine and on October 22, 1950 was united in marriage to Russell K. Catron at the Christian Church in Marshalltown. Zola and Russell made their home in Garwin and Traer before moving to Buckingham where they made their home most of their life. After Russell's death on July 9, 1990 she moved to make her home in Traer. More recently she has moved to live with her daughter Kris and her husband Mark Lindeman in Dysart. Zola's death came at their home on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at the age of 84 years. In her free time she enjoyed spending time bowling and playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Russell in 1990 two sons; Aaron in 1988 and Owen in 2002. She is survived by two daughters; Kris (Mark) Lindeman of Dysart, and Susan (Robert) Thompson of Cedar Falls, IA and two sons; Charles Hampton of Denver, Colo. and Wynnfield Catron of Traer, 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. |
