The Jeune Attente Dance Company of Dysart, Iowa donates to fine arts programs each year in the communities of Dysart, La Porte City and Traer. A volunteer dance board of directors reviews requests each fall and distributes as to the needs of each program. Pictured is Jeune Attente Board representative Dawn Jensen presenting checks to each of the fine arts programs at Union High School in La Porte City on November 4th. The community dance program presented the band program with $400 to purchase new concert band folders, the visual art program $300 for supplies, the media center $100 to purchase books related to the arts and $700 to the vocal and drama departments as seed money for new curtains for the high school auditorium. The donations were part of the $6000.00 distributed to support the fine arts in each of these communities.
