The Tree of Lights Community Improvement Fund Raiser sponsored by the Dysart Women's Clubs began November 1 and will run through December 5, 2009. During this time everyone in the Dysart Community is asked to pick up a donation form found at one of the many businesses in Dysart, fill it out, and purchase a bulb, an ornament or a string of lights. The form may be dropped off at Farmers Coop Telephone Company on Main Street or sent to: Tree of Lights, PO Box 83, Dysart, Iowa 52224

This year the proceeds will be split evenly between the Dysart Historical Museum and the newly formed Wolfe Creek Players, a community theater group. Both of these deserving groups are forming and expanding to make Dysart more appealing and a better place to call home.

The culminating activity is December 5, at Christmas on Main. The morning celebration will take place in the Norma Anders Public Library. There will be hot cider and cookies, the trees will be lit, a short program given which will include the Union Carolers and the Elementary Singers, as well as the top contributor announced, and the tree topper named in their honor. Support the Dysart Women's Club in making the Tree of Lights a great fundraiser!
