Returning Letter winner from 2008: Sophomore, Sara Jesse, Sophomore Tori Zempel, Sophomore, Casey Barney, Junior, Kelsi Hilmer and Junior Hayle Davison.
2009 Newcomers to the team are: Junior, Mary Wrage, Freshman Payton Hilton and Freshman, Sam Barz.
Key Performers: Erica Barz and Jayme Ollendieck. 2008 overall and conference record for 2008 was 27-9 overall and 4-3 NICL(tied for third).
Team highlights from 2008: Set school record with 27 wins and were ranked number 14 in final class 3A poll.
Unions main strengths: Good experience, back will four starters and nine total letter winners. Should be strong from outside positions with Ashley Hager and Lauren Bauer leading the way.
Weaknesses: In experience at middle hitter position. Also concerned about blocking strength and serve receive passing.
Team expectations: The Knights will again be a very competitive team in 2009, with potential to become a very good team as the younger players gain experience.
2009 keys to success: avoid injuries, back row defense and passing needs to improve and young players grow up fast, key positions will see sophomores jumping into starting positions.
