On Sunday, July 26, 20 members from the Dysart United Methodist Church Group traveled to St. Louis, Mo. to serve the community for a week. The 16 youth and 4 adults spent time at several community centers serving the elderly, youth and children. They also helped sort donations and do fix up projects at local shelters. The group also participated in some fun activities in the evenings. They all went up to the top of the famous St. Louis Gateway Arch and spent time in Forest Park, which is the largest urban park in the country. On Wednesday evening, the group attended a local church service, and on Thursday had a community picnic. On Friday, July 31, the Mission team left the worksite and spent time at the City Museum, World Aquarium and dined at the Hard Rock Cafe in Union Station. On Saturday, August 1, they returned to Dysart and will share their experiences and testimonies at the August 16, 9 a.m. worship service at the Dysart United Methodist Church. Everyone is welcome to come and learn what God did in their lives and hearts during this week of service.
