The 7th annual Dysart Old Iron Days will be held this weekend in the Dysart Park. It starts out on Friday, July 24, at 4 p.m. with some displays of vintage machinery and tractors, a car show, a working steam engine, and Harold Langbehn's John Deere display. A large display of Case tractors from the Ryan-Coggon area along with many others being brought in will also be on display. The Case tractor is the theme tractor on this year's t-shirts. There will be an eight piece Polka Band playing music at the open park shelter house from 5-7 for your enjoyment. There will be flea and craft vendors around the park, hotdogs and maidrites at the Lions Food Stand, and a tractor rodeo. On Saturday at 7 a.m., the events are kicked off with the Lions Breakfast open to the public at the park with biscuits and gravy, homemade cinnamon rolls, and kolaches. The tractors will line up and depart on their 50 mile cruise at 9 a.m. The displays and vendors will be open all day and for the kids there will be a kiddie tractor pull at 1 p.m. From 4:30-7:30 p.m., the Dysart Lions will serve their giant tenderloin supper and hopefully sweet corn will be available. Enjoy the talent of the Schmidt Family Band from 5-7. No admission is charged so come out and spend a relaxing time in the beautiful Dysart Park. This event is sponsored by the Dysart Development Corporation. If there is something that you would like to display, please bring Friday.
