(DES MOINES)-Rep. Dawn Pettengill (R-Mount Auburn) announced today that she will be joining Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey (R-Spirit Lake) during one of the Secretary's stops in eastern Iowa. Pettengill will join Northey at the Farm Bureau office in Vinton, 1105 W. 9th St.. on July 16, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Northey will be touring Iowa communities to listen to Iowans and discuss the tremendous opportunities and significant changes facing agriculture in the state. Rep. Pettengill will join Northey in Vinton and is encouraging people in eastern Iowa to be present and engage in a conversation with the two elected officials. "This is a great opportunity for our communities to take part in an important discussion, regardless of whether they are farmers," said Pettengill. "I am pleased to welcome Secretary Northey to Vinton and I look forward to a great dialogue."
