Branson groups at Riverview in Cedar Falls Top-notch regional and national Gospel Music groups will be presenting at Riverview Conference Center, 439 N. Division Street in Cedar Falls, for the Singin' in the Cedar Valley week-long event July 13 - 18. The Monday evening concert at 7:00 on July 13 features Spoken 4 Quartet from Branson, Missouri. This inspirational men's quartet has performed at Silver Dollar City, Mayo Civic Center Presentation Hall and the National Quartet Convention. In 2008 they also received recognition as a nominee for the Top 10 Horizon Awards category. On Tuesday, July 14 the 7:00 pm concert will be presented by Forgiven Quartet from Bartlesville, Oklahoma, a dedicated and impressive men's quartet whose members are favorites returning to Riverview for a fourth year. They display outstanding harmony and have blessed concert attendees all over the Midwest with their spiritual and musical excellence. Wednesday, July 15, a dynamic men's trio from Texas known as Shiloh takes the stage at 7:00. They have performed at the White House, Olympic games in Australia, and the SBTC Evangelism Conference, plus keeping both a national and international touring schedule. The Shiloh trio has been recognized by Singing News Magazine as one of the top 10 gospel groups. The Thursday evening concert on July 16 features Higher Power, the ever-popular men's quartet from the Des Moines area. They have provided concerts for two marriage enrichment seminars held in the Caribbean and have opened for the Gaither Homecoming Tour, in addition to numerous concert appearances for churches and community events in the Midwest. Also on stage that evening is Soul'd Out, a young male quartet from Ohio who travel in full-time ministry through 25 states, making their first appearance in Cedar Falls. They have performed at Silver Dollar City and Dollywood and have appeared on the main stage at the National Quartet Convention Friday and Saturday top gospel groups will be presenting every half hour, beginning at 10:00 am. The featured group on Friday is Triumphant. This male quartet has performed at the Louise Mandrell Theater in Pigeon Forge, TN and Carnegie Hall in New York City. They have received nine Top 5 nominations for Singing News Fan Awards, plus being #1 on the U.S. Gospel News Top 80 chart. This will be the first time they have presented at Riverview. other popular Branson group, will bring a bluegrass note to the weekend schedule. Also new to the Sing is Saturday's featured group, The Crist Family. Well-known in the gospel music world, these Tennessee family members have sung in 25 states and have opened for the Talley Trio, Crabb Family, Hoppers and Dove Brothers. They have numerous Top 5 and Top 10 nominations from various Gospel Music publications, including Horizon Group of the Year and Singing News Fan Awards. In addition to the above-mentioned groups, others scheduled to appear for the Friday - Saturday Sing are The Chosen Ones from Illinois,Gospel Road from Nebraska, and Phil and Pam Morgan from Lees Summit, Missouri. Bible study will be held at 8:30 am each day Tuesday - Saturday, with Steve Miller from Paris, MO (Praises to Him) leading and Phil and Pam providing music.
