Union High School Baseball

Union traveled to Parkersburg on June 22, and came away with a 12-4 win. It was a back and fourth game until the sixth when Knight hitters broke open the game with five runs. The big blows were back to back hits from Cheyne Reiter and Matt Prestemon. Cory Feldpouch added a base loaded double in the seventh to seal the deal. Matt Feuerbach went 6 1/2 innings, allowing one earned run on four hits and a walk. He struck out five. Matt Prestemon came on to get the last two outs.

Don Bosco bested the Knights 7-5 two nights later. A trio of Union pitchers allowed nine Bosco hits and five earned runs. Matt Prestemon took the loss. Cheyne Reiter, Matt Prestemon, and Nate Bellmyer all had two hits. Eric Jesse added two RBI's.

Union traveled to Dike on June 25, and walloped DNH 15-2. Union pounded out 13 hits including a grand slam from Jake Reiter who finished with three hits and six RBI's. Ryan DeSousa added a three run shot while Cory Feldpouch continued to stroke the ball with three hits. Cheyne Reiter went six innings for the win. He allowed five hits, one walk and two earned runs before yielding to Matt Feuerbach who pitched a scoreless seventh for the Knights who are now 9-7 overall and 7-3 in conference play.
