Union High School baseball

Union opened its third week of the season with a 7-6 win at Jesup. The Knights led most of the way with Cheyne Reiter, Matt Prestemon, and Nate Bellmyer each having two hits. Jake Reiter had two RBI's. Walks and errors in the later innings allowed Jesup to tie the game at 6. In the top of the seventh, Cory Feldpouch walked and then scored all the way from first on an error by the third baseman. Matt Prestemon got the win in relief of Matt Feuerbach.

Dike-NH came to Union the following night and lost 10-5. Nate Bellmyer, Eric Jesse and Ryan Desousa each drove in two runs. Jake Reiter and Eric Jesse each had two hits. Nate Bellmyer was the winning pitcher allowing three earned runs on nine hits, 1 BB and four Union errors.

Union traveled to Wapsie Valley on June 11, and put an 18-4 thumping on WV. The Knights pounded out 20 hits including three each by Cheyne Reiter, Jake Reiter, and Matt Feuerbach. Five Knights had multiple hits including home runs by Nate Bellmyer and Matt Feuerbach. Cheyne Reiter got the win with relief from Matt Feuerbach. The Knights are 4-1 in the conference and 6-4 overall.
