Dysart City Council holds monthly meeting

The Dysart City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 10. Present was Mayor Don Lyons, Council Members: Kevin Kugel, Don Zeien and Rich Behrens. Also present were City Clerk, Roxanne Schneider, Police Chief Tim Ruroden, Public Works Superintendent, Steve Hix. Council member Tim Glenn joined at 7:02 pm and Kent King was absent. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Lyons. The following agenda was approved with a motion from Glenn and seconded by Zeien. Items on the agenda were as follows; approval of May '09 meeting minutes, approval of May '09 disbursements, also June '09 bills to be allowed, '09 financial report, review of minutes of June 6, 2009 meeting of planning and Zoning Commission, cigarette renewal permits for John's Qwik Stop, Casey's General Store and Terry's Food Center and Special Class C liquor permit for SPELL CHECK -----The Dysart City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 10. Police Chief Ruroden was present to ask the council to consider amending the curfew ordinance for the City of Dysart. As of now the current curfew times are Monday- Friday from 10:30 p.m - 5 p.m. and Saturday - Sunday from 12:30 - 5 a.m. Chief Ruroden expressed the desire to set curfew times earlier and will be visiting with City Attorney, Nancy Burk about this matter. Members discussed the $60,000 that is needed to be raised before the matter of the proposed skate park will have any more action taken. Adjournment was called by Mayor Lyons.
