Draw, paint, write, sing, dance and act silly at the Norma Anders Public Library's summer story hour program. Be Creative @ Your Library, will be held on Wednesdays from 1:00-2:00 p.m., June 10 through July 1. Children who are preschool age through second grade are invited to join in the fun. Children will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of creative activities with music, art, theater and creative writing themes. June 10: "Catch the Beat" will give the children an opportunity to play musical instruments, sing, dance and even make their own instrument. June 17: "Got Art?" will be the day to show off artistic talents. Choose an art center and make a masterpiece. June 24: "Set the Stage" will give the children an opportunity to make puppets and act silly. July 1: "Lunar Landing" will celebrate the anniversary of the moon landing forty years ago. Children can participate in creative writing and space themed activities. The library is looking for children who love to read books for prizes, show off their artistic talents and have a fun time with others. Be a Reading Star is an additional reading program for children who have just finished third, fourth, and fifth grades. This program runs June 1 through July 31. Come to the Norma Anders Library for more details. Hope you get caught being a reading star!
