On Saturday, May 9, 2009, a coed baby

shower for Adam and Ellen Stoakes of rural Clutier was held at the farm of David and Irene Podhajsky, Clutier. Hosting the shower were Ellen's sister and niece, Lori and Danielle Speck and Adam's aunts and cousins. Shower games and clay target shooting and social visiting were the afternoon entertainments and followed by a walking taco luncheon. Those attending came for Turkey, South Africa, Bettendorf, Carlisle, Laurel, Albion, Liscomb, Janesville, Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Hudson, Cedar Rapids, West Liberty, Dysart, Keystone, Toledo, Garwin, Traer and Clutier.

On Tuesday evening, May 19, 2009, Ellen was honored at a baby shower hosted by her Marshalltown co-workers of Emerson Processing Company. The shower was held at the home of Dorothy Hellberg of Marshalltown. Humorous games were played by all those attending. A delicious lunch was served by the hostesses.
