The Iowa High School Athletic Association has released the pairings for the 2009 Boys State Basketball Tournament. Union is in Class 3A, District #6, Substate #3.
The Union Knights will have home court advantage when they take on Waverly-Shell Rock in the first round on Mon., February 23 at 7:00 PM in LaPorte City.With a win, the Knights will then take on either Oelwein or Independence in Cedar Falls at Cedar Falls High School at 7:00 PM on Thurs., February 26.
The final showdown with a win in the second round will be on Tues., March 3rd at the McLeod Center on the Campus of the University of Northern Iowa. The game will start at 6:30 PM. The Knights will play one of four teams which include Benton, South Tama, Vinton-SB, and Center Point-Urbana.The Knights need your support to get back to the state tournament.
